5th February:
Well..... How did our first gig at Bentley West End Club with new members, Jack and Lee go??
Absolutely FANTASTIC!!
The gig was a success, everybody played brilliantly!!
Can't believe how full the club was considering how heavily the snow was falling!! Well done to Jack and Lee!!
Things can only get better from now on!!
Roll on the next gig!!

30th January:
*Announcement*
We regret to announce that Mark Birdsall (guitar) and Fez (keyboards) have departed from the band, and we wish them the very best of luck in their future projects.

We now would like to welcome Jack Rowe on the guitar and Lee Varley on keys. Both musicians are of exceptional quality and bring a different sound to the band. We are really looking forward to gigging!! Rehearsals have been fantastic!!

Our first gig back on the scene is at Bentley West End Club in Doncaster, 4th February, we would absolutely love to see you all there!!

1st January 2012:
Our last gig of 2011 was at Waterloo Bowling Club in Huddersfield. This was a great night for all involved!!! Absolutely PACKED!!! It was packed when we were setting up!! It was a great gig AND we didn't even set off the DB meter!!

We have an annoucement coming soon, but we all would like to to wish all our followers a happy and prosperous 2012!!

28th December:
'Mad' friday saw us at The Ship, Thurnscoe (Thurnscoe WMC). It was quite a busy one with plenty of people celebrating christmas!! We shall be back there in the new year.

After our small break for Christmas, our next gig was at our regular club Bellhouse Road WMC. It wasn't as busy as it usually is but it still was a rocking evening!! Hope everybody enjoyed theirselves!!!

Our next and final gig of 2011 is at Waterloo Bowling Club in Huddersfield.. We hope you can make it!!

19th December:
Again, we've had a very busy weekend!! First gig was at one of our favourite venues, The Lion in Cas Vegas!!! It was an excellent turnout!! Absolutley packed!! We were also celebrating our good friend, Steve's 60th birthday!! Hope you enjoyed it!! And also a BIG thankyou to all who donated in the bucket... THANKYOU VERY MUCH!!!

Our second gig was a new venue for us, Farringdon Social Club in Sunderland. It was quite a good turnout considering it being near christmas! Good news is that we've been booked back there next year!!!

Our final gig of our busy weekend was at Sherwood Ranger. It wasn't as full as usual but everybody who turned up really enjoyed it!! Thanx again.

12th December:
What an absolutley stonking weekend we've had!! Te 1st of 3 gigs saw us at George V WMC in Glasshoughton. It was an excellent turnout!! Everybody enjoyed theirselves.. Thanx to all wh oventured out!

Our 2nd gig saw us return to the Cross Keys in Morley.. It was another great turnout and we debut our 'xmas' song, 'I believe in Father Christmas' by Greg Lake. Thanx to Lynne and Howard for the Hotpot at the end of the night.

Our final gig of the weekend was a charity event for Westend Park, held at The Alverley at Doncaster, organised by our good friends Julie and Wormy. 4 bands played, Red Jester, The Rakkiteers, us and MonkeyDust. As far as I know £800+ has been raised. Well done to all!!

Another 3 gig weekend for us coming up, so make sure you get to one... BE THERE!!

5th December:
Two great gigs we've had this weekend!! The first being at The Alverley! Again, it was a great gig with quite a few punters in!! A Big thanx to Eddie for providing us some food!!

Saturday saw us return to Grindon Broadway Club in Sunderland, It was a great gig and no doubt we WILL be back there next year!!

This coming weekend we have 3 gigs! Be sure to make them!!

28th November:
Another 2 gig weekend for us, the first being at Snoopy's place, S.N.A.F.U in Rotherham. This is a great venue, full of rocking people!! A BIG thanx to Snoopy for letting us play there.

Our next gig was at Bentley Westend Club in Donny!! Again, a great venue, plenty of our followers in. We have secured more gig there next year and New Years Eve!! Get in!!

20th November:
We've had two stonking gigs this weekend! First gig was our return to The Mallard in Doncaster.. It was a HOT one!!! Plenty of people in and we got to debut our new song in the set!! Judging from the reaction of the crowd, I think it went down well!!!

Our second gig was at Townville Rec Club in Castleford. It was our first time on a saturday there!! There was a different audince. They loved it! And were 'banging' on the tables for more!!

13th November:
Friday's gig was a new one for us, it was at the Bar Abbey in Sheffield. This is a great new venue, small but fantastic. It was great to see all of our 'Broadfield' fans at the gig! The manager was really pleased with the turnout.. Apparently the best turnout they've had since opening!! We look forward into returning back there.

Saturday's gig was a birthday party for our great friend, Brian Featherstone. He was celebrating his 50th at the Klondyke in Royston. We shared the gig with The Rakkiteers. It was an AWESOME night and the club was packed to the rafters!!!! Thanks Bri for letting us play. We hope you enjoyed it!!!!

7th November:
After a weekend off it was time for us to rawk again!! This time it was at Skellow Grange Club in Doncaster. Considering it was 'Bonfire night' there was quite a few people in! Plus a few local musos.

23rd October:
Friday's gig saw us return to George V WMC in Cas Vegas!!! As well as our gig we were presenting The Air Ambulance with a cheque!! It was quite a huge turn out! We luv the George!!

Saturday's gig was at Norton Conoration Club in Doncaster. We played this last year for their yearly charity event. It was a great turnout with plenty of people dancing!!

We have a weekend off, but we will soon be back for our gig at Skellow Grange, so........ BE THERE!!!

16th October:
Friday's gig was at Southey Social Club in Sheffield. We've not played this venue for quite a few years, maybe 8 or 9!! Its a great venue, large stage and large room!! The audience was plentiful and it was great to see some of our friends too!
Hopefully it won't be another 8 or 9 years before we play there again.

Saturday's gig was at Easington Colliery Club in Sunderland.. The venue was PACKED!!!! Full of people who love their rock music..Especially Journey!! We look forward to going back next year!!

11th October:
Last weekend was a busy one for us.... 3 gigs!!!!
The first gig was at one of our local's.. Bellhouse Road WMC in Sheffield. It wasn't as full as it normally is, but the crowd loved it!! Especially our new song 'Mr. Blue Sky by ELO'

Saturday's gig was at The Cross Keys in Morley. It was a great gig!! Quite full!!! Everybody enjoyed it!!! Thanx to Lynne & Howard for the curry... phew!!! it was hot!!!

Sunday saw us return to The Sherwood Ranger in Retford. Great little venue. It doesn't take much to fill it!! Than again all all who turned up!!

2nd October:
*BREAKING NEWS*
Our gig at Ward Green Club this afternoon has been cancelled due to illness, we apologise for anybody who were coming. Good news is, as we were suppose to be double headlining with The Rakkiteers, they have agreed to do the gig. We will be rescheduled to play there in November.

Friday's gig was our return to our favourite venue The Lion in CAS VEGAS!!! It sure was a hot and sticky one!!! Very hot!!! and very sticky!!! It was a great turnout too!! Thanx to everyone who turned up and donated in the bucket!!!

Saturday's gig was a wedding anniversary in Sheffield, Steve & Sue, who regularly see us at Bellhouse Road Club. It was their 30th wedding anniversary!!! Thanx guys for booking us and we're glad you really enjoyed it!!!

26th September:
Friday saw us return to The Alverley in Doncaster. It was a full audience, with a few 'celebrities' from different bands. It was a great gig and we look forward to going back in December.

Saturday was a new venue for us, Gawber Road WMC in Barnsley. Although the gig wasn't advertised >:( it was a good turn out! We hope to return there in the near future!!

19th September:
Friday's gig was at Smithywood Road WMC for a darts presentation. Therre was plenty in and a few of our regular followers were there too!!! I think we gained a few more fans!!

Sunday's event was 'PARTY AT THE PARK' A charity event at Byram Park Social Club in Brotherton. 6 Bands played: Monkey Dust, Empress, Daze, The Erics, The Rakkiteers & Suicide Blonde. This was the club's first outdoor event and they are hoping to do this every year.. The rain didn't help, but overall, it was a good day!! A big thanx to all who supported this event!!

11th September:
Our 2 gig weekend started with a private party, it was a 18th surprise birthday party for Sarah, who is one of our biggest fans!!! This party had been organised secretly for a year!! (Well done to Phil & Sue, who managed to keep it under wraps for so long!!!) Sarah had no idea... and with the look on her face when she entered the club.. I'd guess she loved it.. It was our pleasure Sarah.

Our second gig was a return to Garfield's Sportz Bar. We've not played there for quite a while. It was a good gig!!

Next gig is at Smithywood Road WMC on friday and on sunday we have a outdoor charity gig (see right). We are not playing, but Paul has organised this and is providing the p.a.

5th September:
Only one gig for us last weekend... Bentley Westend Club, it was great to blow some cobwebs off!! A big thankyou to all who ventureed out, and especially our friends, who follows us everywhere!! We loves ya!!

30th August:
After our holiday break our first gig back was BARNSTOCK!!! This charity gig is in aid of Barnsley Hospice and organised by our good friend BRIAN FEATHERSTONE, hes a great guy!! This event took place at Barnsley Trades Club, a nice sized club for plenty of peaople to 'rock out' to.
This year's line up was: Volume Zero, Sonnett, Red Jester, The Rakkiteers, The Vow, Optic Nerve and TopGun. A great mixture of styles plus original songs!!!!
A BIG thankyou to everybody who took their time to help out and to Brian who organised this great event!!
BARNSTOCK raised £3402.66...Thanx to all who donated!!!

15th August:
This weekend was quite a busy one for us! We've had 3 great gigs! The first one was on friday... Yorkshire Rock & Bike Show at Squires Cafe bar in Sherburn-In-Elmet. This is a FANTASTIC gig held by the Satan's Slaves. We were on at 9, which was a great time slot, as it was just getting dark! So the lights were upon us!!! It was a great night and we even camped over!! A BIG thankyou to Aitch for letting us play.. We really appreciate it!!

Saturday's gig saw us return to The Klondyke in Royston. It was a very warm and sticky night!! There was plent in too. The Concert sec had mentioned to us that previous weeks, there wasn't many in, which was good for us. Highlight of the night was the strange guy in pink, tight shorts, dancing hahaha.

Sunday's gig was a new venue for us, The Thirsty Man in Mirfield. Its a great pub with a decent sized playing area. There was a Christening being held there too, so we weren't sure what the outcome would be. We managed to win them over and maybe even gained a few more fans. We hope to return there soon.

8th August:
Yesterday was a long for us TopGunners. It was GEORGEFEST day at the George V WMC in Castleford in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The day was a mixture of sunshine and rain, but it didn't spoil the day. A few of the bands/artistes had pulled out due to illness or some reason, but the slots got filled. The running order was: Harry Coffey Band, The Rakkiteers, The Clicks, Dale (with his acoustic guitar) Three Chord Wonder and us to finish the night. It was a success and hopefully a lot of money was raised.

4th August:

TopGun Productions Presents.... PARTY AT THE PARK..
This is an outdoor gig held at Byram Park Social Club in FerryBridge on sunday 18th September. Paul has organised this and will be providing the P.A. Its only £5 to get in and a donation will be made to the Rock Of The North Cancer Trust!!
We'd appreciated it if you could come along to this event and raise money for the fight against this killer diease.

1st August:
Our one and only gig last weekend was at S.N.A.F.U in Rotherham to help celebrate Snoopy's birthday! As always it was absolutely packed to the rafters!! It was a late one, but it was sure worth it!! Hope you enjoyed your birthday Snoopy!!

24th July:
Friday's gig saw us return to The Alverley Inn in Doncaster. We luv this venue, it gets plenty of people in and most of all we enjoy the spring rlls and prawn toast at the end of the gig.. Than for that Eddie.

Saturday's gig was at the Cross Keys in Morley, again it was a very hot one!!! At first I thought it was going to be a quiet one, as at 9 there wasn't many in, but 10 minutes later it was quite packed.... phew!!! Thanx alot to Lynne and Howard!! And thanx alot for the Hotpot yum yum.

18th July:
Our first gig of the weekend was at The Mallard in Donny. It wasn't as full as previous gigs there but it is holiday season after all!! Anyhow, the crowd that were there really enjoyed, but it was sure HOT!!!!!

After a night off, our next gig was on sunday at The Sherwood Ranger in Retford. A great little venue full of people who like their rock music. It was great to see Bryan and Ally, of who we played at Bry's party the previous weekend.. Thanx alot guys!

11th July:
What a weekend!!!!! A very busy weekend!!!!
First of the 3 gig was at one of our favourite venues, The Broadfield in Sheffield. It was absolutely PACKED!! And very warm!!! This is a great venue and the crowd love their rock music!! You could hear the audience singing along to our Queen Trilogy.. Fantastic!!
Our 2nd gig was a private party in a marque... And it was one hell of a Marque!! It was a 50th birthday party. It was a great night and everybody enjoyed it.. See 'People's Comments' for
the email I recieved yesterday. A big thankyou to Ally and Bry... Glad you enjoyed the night!! We'll see you at The Sherwood Ranger!!
Finally, our 3rd gig of the weekend was a double headliner (AlpineFest) with The Rakkiteers at Ward Green Club in Barnsley. Again, it was a warm afternoon!! and it was great to see everybody enjoying themselves! A big thankyou to The Rakkiteers for letting us play alongside them.

4th July:
Well... its been a LONG weekend!! Having two outdoor events, with us providing the p.a for.. and also playing!!
First event was ROCKIN' THE REC in Silkstone!! This was a new one for us. The gig was set outside in the field of the recreation ground. The weather was fantastic, perfect for both days!!
The bands that played for this event were: BlackJack, PB10s, Finton Stax, TopGun and Rakkiteers. There were a few technical issues and a bit of bother towards the end of the night, but overall it was a great day, with plenty attending!!!
Yesterday's outdoor gig was TRAVSFEST at The Travellers in South Kirkby. Again it was a sellout... Absolutely packed!! The bands that played were: MonkeyDust, Ashes, Rakkiteers, Blitz, Go Kommando, Styckleback and us to end the show. It was a great day and I'm sure they raised alot of money for the hospice

27th June:
This weekend has probably been the hottest and most sweatiest gigs we've ever done! First of the two was at George V WMC in Castleford. Gotta say, that we've never seen it as packed!!! Thanx to everyone who turned up and we'll see you at GEORGEFEST!!!
Sunday's gig was at Bentley West End in Doncaster, it was another great gig, not as many in as before but who cares!! It was rockin!!!
This weekend we have two outdoor gigs.. We hope to see you there!!!

13th June:
Saturday's gig was at Smithywood WMC in Sheffield, this is one of our favourite venues... Huge stage!! Excellent audience!!
We have something planned (hopefully) the next time we play there.

Sunday's gig was at Barnsley Eastdene WMC. Its been a long time since we last played there, probably about 5 or 6 years ago!! It was a good gig, I think we surprised some of the audience!!

11th June:
We played at the Townville Club last night in Castleford. It was a great night with plenty in! A big thankyou to Barry for booking us there and to all our followers to ventured out... You know who you are!!! Tonight's gig see us return to Smithywood Road WMC in Sheffield... should be a good un!!

5th June:
We've had two MEGA gigs this weekend. The first was on friday at the Bellhouse Road Club in Sheffield. This is our 'local' gig, so its always guarenteed a good night. That night we had a young band supporting us... VELOZITY.. An excellent originals band with the odd cover thrown in.. Look out for this band, they could be the next big thing!! We really enjoyed the set guys!!
After their set it was time for us to RAWK!! We decided to do a long set!! Paul broke a string (G... Always a G string hahah) on his acoustic, so he jumped on Mark's spare flying V... The crowd loved it!! A big thankyou to all the people who came along and a big thankyou to VELOZITY!!

Saturday's gig was a new one for us, Grindon Broadway in Sunderland. This was probably the best gig we've ever done!! It was full, the sound was perfect and the crowd was 'up' for it!! We've had some great feedback from the crowd.. see 'People's Comments page. Hopfully we'll be back real soon.

29th May:
This weekend's gigs have been FANATASTIC!!! First of all we were back at The Ship in Thurnscoe. It was a great gig with plenty in, even though it was bank holiday weekend!! It gave us an opertunity to try out our new David Bowie track!!

Saturday's gig was our return to the Infamous Lion in Castleford (Cas Vegas). What can you say about The Lion thats not already been said? TopGun loves the Lion!!! It was a hot n' sweaty night, and that wasn't just the band!!!! A BIG thanx to all who attended and donated to the bucket, we really appreciate it!! Roll on next Lion gig!!!

22nd May:
After having two weekends off it was time for us to kick some ass!! Our gig this weekend was at The Boot & Shoe in Ackworth, Les's place!!!
I have never seen so many people crammed into such a small place!!! It was hot & sweaty!!!
A big thankyou to Les for putting us on at short notice and to all of the people who came out to see us... It sure was a gig to remember!!!

7th May:
Yesterday saw us return to the Alverley in Balby.. The venue was PACKED out!! probably the fullest I've EVER seen!!! Thanx alot to all who turned out.. We really appreciate your support!!!

3rd May:
Sunday we returned to The Sherwood Ranger in Retford. This is a great venue. The place was rammed!! Eveybody loved it! I think we gained some more fans! A big thankyou to our fanclub 'Mallard crew' who ventured out to see us there... It was a real surprise!!

1st May:
Friday's gig was interesting... We played at Hopetown Liberal Club in Normanton. We were the last band to play there, as their friday 'band' nights weren't going down well.. Shame really, as it is a nice club inside, decent sized stage etc. Anyway, afew of our regular followers were there to make up. At the end of the gig one of the committe guys said we were the best band to play there! Nevermind... thats another venue gone..

27th Apr:
Yesterday's gig was for a football presentation for the Barnsley Supporters Club, which was held at Hoyland Belmont Club. There was quite a few people in and even Toby Tyke made an appearance!!!

Our next gig is at Hopetown Liberal Club in Castleford. A new venue for us... Should be good!!

24th Apr:
After having two weekends off, it was time for us to blow some much needed cobwebs off!!! Our first gig of a two gig weekend was at The Mallard in Doncaster. This is a great little venue, always full, although the crowd was abit thin... probably due to it being Easter weekend, but those who were in loved it!! It was also great to debut our two new Whitesnake songs... which went down a storm!!!!
Our second gig was at Easington Colliery in County Durham... a fair trek, but it was well worth it!!! The venue was packed and the crowd absolutely loved us!!!
We will be back!!!

3rd Apr:
We've had two great gigs this weekend!
The first was at X Keys in Morley. We love this venue.... And we love Lynn's Hotpot too.....
A big thanx to all who ventured out... Especially the air guitar man.. who was really 'going' for it in Highway Star!

Saturday's gig was at Bentley Westend Club in Doncaster. Again, a great venue and a great crowd who love to rock out!!! Both gigs were hot and sweaty!!!!!

We've got a couple of weekends off, but we'll soon be back!!!

26th Mar:
Last night saw us return to the Bellhouse Road WMC in Sheffield. This is one of our favourite gig, with an audience who love their rock music. This gig was a bit special for us, as we had our very own support band, RED JESTER. Please check them out on www.myspace.com/redjesteruk or their facebook site.

22nd Mar:
We returned to Castleford on friday to play at The George V WMC. At first it seemed to a bit thin on the ground, audience wise, but as soon as we were about to play it soon filled up!! I think we gained some new fans!!

Sunday's teatime gig was at Waterloo Bowling Club in Huddersfield. Yeah, the one with the DB reader!!! Which we tripped... of course!! It was an excellent gig with some good comments coming from the audience!

13th Mar:
Friday saw us return to The Broadfield in Sheffield to
celebrate Julie's birthday. This venue is one of our favourites.. the crowd are really up for it!!! It was absolutely packed out!! It gave us the oppertunity to debut our new Queen songs... Wanna know what they are?? Get to a gig and find out!!!!!

Saturday saw us in Royston at Klondyke WMC. Another great venue and,again it was packed out, considering we had competition in Barnsley!! A big thanx to all who ventured out... We WILL be back!!!

7th Mar:
Just want to say how much of a great weekend we've had!! First of all, Friday night was Lion night!!! We were there to celebrate Elaine's birthday, who was a young 50!! She really did enjoy herself and we'll be looking forward to seeing the photos real soon! What can I say about the Lion thats not already been said? It was absolutely packed to the rafters!!! A BIG thankyou to all, who kindly filled the bucket... It must've been a record!!

Sunday's gig was at Ward Green WMC in Barnsley. This is a great venue!! It was quite full and everyone was enjoying the music... plenty of dancers throwing some shapes :)
We look forward to more dates at that venue.

28th Feb:
We had a private party on saturday for our good friend Wormy, who was a young 50! It was at The Little Un' in South Elmsall. It was a great little party full of friends and fellow musos. A Big thankyou to Wormy and Julie for asking us to play alongside MonkeyDust and No Mercy For Percy. It was a great night!

26th Feb:
Last night we played at SNAFU in good ol' Rotherham. What a rgeat venue its is! It was packed and the crowd loved it!!! Especially when we opened the 2nd set up with 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' You could hear them singing along!!!

22nd Feb:
Sunday we played at The Bridge Inn, in Castleford, to a large audience full of friends and followers. Thanx alot to all of you for turning up. We really appreciate your support!!!

7th Feb:
Sherwood Ranger was EXCELLENT yesterday!! This is a great little venue, full of people who absolutely love their rock music. I think we even gained some new fans!!!

6th Feb:
Townville Rec was our first gig of 3 this weekend. It was our 2nd trip back to this great club... They love their rock music!! Thanx to Barry for booking us in, and to all of the people who ventured out in the bad weather!!
Yesterday's gig was a total surprise for us... we didn't know we were playing!!!! We played at Smithywood WMC in Sheffield, one of our regular clubs! A big thanx to the guy who got in touch with us to tell us about the gig!!
Tonight we're playing the Sherwood Ranger.. It would be great to see some of you there!

30th Jan:
This weekend saw us return to The Ship in Thurnscoe. It was abit lively, as there was a DJ on too. We had afew technical issues but in all it turned out to be a good gig.

23rd Jan:

Sunday's gig was at the Polish Club in Barnsley. Its been a while since we've played there but it sure was a good gig! There were quite a few people in!

15th Jan:
Well its been a long 2 weeks off from gigging, so we were all raring to go at our gig yesterday at the Alverley.. This is a great little venue.. and it was quite full, considering it being January and all that! A big thanx to our followers... who are always there (we love ya!) and a BIG thankyou to Eddie for the springrolls, prawntoast and ribs.... mmmm they were gorgeous!!!

2nd Jan 2011:
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYBODY!!!!

Our last gig of 2010 was at Bentley West End WMC in Doncaster. What a great gig to end the year! It was beginning to fill up before we even got set up!. It was packed to the rafters!!
It was a good night, everybody enjoyed it!!

Its been quite a good weekend... First of all we were at Skellow Grange Club in Doncaster on saturday. This ia a huge venue with a decent size stage. It wasn't quite full to start with but it soon filled up!! A crowd of drunken women stormed the stage!!....gulp!!

Sunday's gig was at Waterloo Bowling Club in Huddersfield. Its been a few months since we last played there!! The weather wasn't too good, but we managed to get there!! The venue was packed!!!
And... we only tripped the DB meter once haha

Our next gig is not til Boxing Day.. So, us at the TopGun camp would like to wish all our friends and followers a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

13th Dec:
Yesterday saw us at The Lion in Castleford. This is one of TopGun's favourite venues. H & Julie really do make us feel welcome there!!! The venue was pretty full, with our usual followers and friends.
We debuted our Christmas song last night.. This went down a storm!!!
A big thanx to H & Julie and all of the people who donated in the bucket, we really appreciate this!!!

5th Dec:
This weekend has been probably one of the best EVER!!!! First of all it was a bit touch n' go with friday, due to the snow weather conditions, but we maanaged to plough through the snow to get to the George V WMC in Castleford. We were quite surprised with the turnout... It was PACKED!!!! A BIG thanx to all who trekked through the snow to get to our gig... We really appreciate it!!!!

Saturdays gig was at The Cross Keys in Morley. We were helping Bev celerbrate her 50th birthday!!! It was an absolute pleasure for us to play and again, we really appreciate it!! Everybody were dancing on the tables!!! A big thanx to Lynne and Howard for the Chilli and Hotpot... yummy!!

What can I say about this weekend's gigs?!
Absolutely FANTASTIC!!!!
Friday's gig saw us back at The Broadfield in Sheffield. The venue was PACKEDOUT!!! Probably the most we've EVER seen there!!!! It was absolutely amazing.. Standing ovation for Bed Of Roses!!!! Thanx alot to all those who ventured out... especially in the snow!!!

Saturday's gig was at Acklam Steelies Club in Middlesboro.. The snow did not beat us getting there!! It was horrendous but we soldiered through!! We love this venue!! The stage is great and the audience absolutely love their rock music!! So you can imagine how they responded to The Journey songs!!! A HUGE thanx to Barry for booking us there, we will be back in the new year!!

22nd Nov:
This weekend's gigs have been absolutley brilliant!! First of all saturday's gig was @ Hawthorne Rec Club in Doncaster. It has been quite a few years since TopGun played this venue, a totally different band with a different line up. The crowd was quite 'large' with our TopGun army there!! haha. We hope to be back there next year!!

Sunday's gig was a new one for us. Highgate WMC in Goldthorpe. A great venue, just wished there were a few more in.. Maybe next time. Again, we hope to be back there next year.

This weekend's gig see us at two of our favourite venues. The Broadfield and Acklam Steelies... Be sure to get to atleast one of them.. or even both!!!

14th Nov:
We've had two great gigs this weekend. The first was on friday at the Mallard in Doncaster.. This is one of our favourite venues. The crowd loves what we play!!! Very appreciative!! A big THANX to our group of fans, who follow us EVERYWHERE!!! We love you guys!!
Saturday's gig was at Lindley Liberal in Huddersfield. Its been quite a few years since we last played there!! Great venue (stairs...Arghhh) with a crowd who loved it!! The stage was a bit on the small side, so we used it as a drum riser and Mark, Paul, Fez and myself (Angie) played on the dancefloor!!! Looking foward to playing back there next year.

10th Nov:
Saturday saw us back at the Cross Keys in Morley, rocking to a packed audience!! Considering it was Bonfire weekend! Alot of familiar faces were there, so a big thank you for coming out to see us. We've got 4 dates booked in next year for the Cross Keys, so make sure you are at them!!!

Sunday also saw us back at The Bridge Inn at Whitwood in Castleford. Last time we played there was for our friends Steve and Shirley's wedding. It was a very good turnout!!

Our next gig is @ The Mallard.... Now this should be good!!!

25th Oct:
This weekend was nicely rounded off with Ward Green Club in Barnsley!! This gig was absolutley fantastic!! Packed out!! Thanx alot to all the friendly faces!! and to Kirk who booked us there. We will be back!!!

24th Oct:
Yesterday's gig was @ Norton Coronation Club in Doncaster. This was a charity event and a new venue for us. It was a small cosy club with an excellent audience!! We look forward to going back there soon!!!

18th Oct:
Yesterday evening we played at The Sherwood Ranger in Retford. This was our first gig at this venue, so we wasn't sure what to expect. It was a nice, cosy venue. A bit on the small size for the playing area but it was ok for us. There was plenty in, so it didn't matter being cramped..
Thanx alot to Hannah for requesting us and thanx alot for the curry afterwards.. It was lovely!!!

17th Oct:
Smithywood WMC was a good one last night... What a venue!! Massive stage, plenty of room for everyone!!! Loads of punters in!! Rock n' Roll!! Thanx alot to everybody who ventured out!!!
Tonight's gig is a new one for us, hope to see you there!!!

16th Oct:
Its a busy one, this weekend for us as we've got 3 gigs!! The first of the 3 was at a new venue for us... Townville Rec Club in Castleford. Decent sized stage with plenty of people in (some of them seeing us at GeorgeFest back in July) Anyway, it was a great gig with plenty of people dancing and strutting their stuff to the usual songs. Good news is, that we've been booked back in February!! YAY!!
Tonight we're @ Smithywood WMC in Sheffield.... Should be a good un!!!

11th Oct:
On friday we made our return to The Ship (Thurnscoe WMC). This time the venue was packed!!! It was a cracking night with the audience 'up for it'
I can confirm that we have been booked back there in January!!! Yay!!!

Saturdays gig was at Mill Lane WMC in South Kirkby. At first it seemed a little on the quiet side, but it soon filled up, with people dancing to 'Life On Mars?' We got to debut a new song in the set.. Not saying which... You'll have to come and see us!!! Great to see our usual followers!! You know who you are!!

3rd Oct:
Last night we played for our good friends Steve & Shirley for their wedding. It was was @ The Bridge Inn in castleford. Steve and Shirley are huge fans of TopGun and we were really honoured when they asked us to play their wedding. TopGun would like to congratulate Steve & Shirley and wish them a happy future together.

1st Oct:
I regret to say that TopGun's gig tonight at The Alverley in Doncaster has been *cancelled* due to family illness. Sorry to all who were vebturing out in the rain. Hopefully we will beable to re arrange another date.

26th Sept:
This weekend has got to be one of the best we've had this year!! Friday's gig was at The Lion in Castleford. One of our favourite venues!!! It was absolutley PACKED full of familiar faces!! Plus the crowd were VERY generous!! It must have been a record so far for the bucket!!!!

Saturday's gig was at Bentley West End Club in Doncaster. We've played here a few times and each time it gets better!! It was full and the audience were very appreciative!!! One girl was dancing to 'Shine on You Crazy Diamond'
Roll on New Years Eve!!!

12th Sept:
Last night we played @ The Custom Bike Show @ 6 Acres pub in Tong. This event was set up in a maquee in the fields behind the pub. There were 3 other bands on besides us: GunLaw, Vagabond and Paddy McGuire Band. The gig was to raise money for Cancer Research. It was a late start for us, we started playing @ 11.30!! But in all it was a great event. A big thanx goes out to Dave & Helen who were on sound duties.
We've got a weekend off next week, but we will be back on the 24th starting with The Lion in Cas Vegas!!!

11th Sept:
Last night we played @ Westminster Rec Club in Doncaster. This is a great venue with the crowd loving their rock music. At first I thought the size of the audience was abit thin, but it soon filled up. A big thanx to our regular fans who follow us everyway!! We played a new song last night, 'Gary Moore's Over The Hills And Far Away' It went down a storm!!!

5th: Sept:
Friday saw us return to one of our favourite venues, Bellhouse Road WMC in Sheffield. The crowd were plentiful (even though there was an England footy match!!) It was an excellent gig!!

Saturday we played @ Shotton Comrades Club in County Durham. This was the first time we played there, and we wasn't sure how the crowd would react to us! It was rather busy, even when we were setting up!!! People were dancing to Highway Star!!! I'm sure it will not be long before we are booked back there!!!

Nexts gigs are @ Westminster Rec Club and a biker rally in Tonge.... Should be a good weekend!!!

2nd Sept:
Saturday's gig was @ Thurnscoe WMC (Ship). Its been many years since we last played there. The audience was a bit thin on the ground, but the crowd who were in enjoyed it!! Watch this space for a rebooking!!!

Finally, Bank Holiday Monday was BARNSTOCK time!!! This year the venue was held @ The Trades & Labour Club in Barnsley. All proceeds going to Barnsley Hospice, to which £3657.55 was raised!!! Welldone to all who donated!!!!! 5 bands played in the hot, sweaty room: TrueBrit, The Vow, Barmy Surplus Army Band, The Rakkiteers and us. All 5 bands playing different styles!!! The whole event was a success!! A big thankyou to the organisers Brian Featherstone, Pat Crawford, Barnsley Hospice, to Phil Munt (for desk duties), Slick (with help from Russ) on light duties!!!
And most of all to all of the people who turned up to this event!!!

29th Aug:
This is a busy weekend for us, as we have 3 gigs!! First gig we played yesterday was 'Outdoorfest' at The Will O' Nats pub in Holmfirth!! This event was organised by Phil Munt from ShowTec. It was set outdoor on a trailor with extra stage support. 3 bands played: Go Kommando, us and Jagged Edge finished off the night. It gave us an oppertunity to try out our new Pink Floyd track 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond,' which went down a storm!! It was an excellent gig!! with plenty of people there!! A Big thanx to Phil Munt for asking us to play!!
Our next gig is tonight @ The Ship in Thurnscoe

26th July:
This weekend has been VERY busy!!!! First of the 3 gigs we did was @ The Broadfield in Sheffield. This is one of our favourite venues. We thought the audience was going to be a bit thin, due to a festival that was happening in Sheffield, but how wrong we were!! The venue was PACKED!!! Probably the fullest EVER!!! Thanx to all who turned up!!

Second gig of the weekend was a cancellation at the SNAFU in Rotherham!! Yet again, the venue was absolutely packed!!! A big thankyou to Snoopy for getting us back in there!! You're a star!!!

Finally the weekend was finished with 'GEORGEFEST' in Castleford!! An outdoor festival raising money for Air Abulance. Not sure how much was raised yet, but I will find out!! Bands who played were: SoundHouse, Seventh Son, No Mercy For Percy, Harry Coffey Band, Broken Angel and us. It was a perfect day with the sun shining!! It was a bigger turnout than last year!! The field was packed with people!!! A big thanx to Colin and the guys who organised the event, also to Claire 'with the red hair' for helping out... You're a star ;)
We're off for a few weeks now, but we'll be back in August @ The Victoria Club in Chesterfield!!!!

19th July:
Saturday we played @ Mill Lane WMC in South kirkby. At first I thought it was going to be empty, but by 9 it was 'heaving' We went down a storm!!!! It was an excellent gig!!!

12th July:
This weekend has been the most hottest and sweatiest off them all!!! First of all we were @ The Mallard in Doncaster. This is one of our regular venues. Gotta say it was fantastic!! VERY full.. The crowd luved us!! We had some great comments about the new line up too!!
Saturday's gig was @ The Klondyke in Royston, again, it was packed out to a huge appreciative audience. Alot of people couldn't believe how much the band had changed for the better! A bit thankyou to all who turned out!!

4th July:
Yesterday we played at Acklam Steelies in Middlesboro. What a great gig that was. This is a great venue with a rock loving audience! The club was full!! A big thankyou to Barry for letting us play!!

What a perfect day yesterday was @ TRAVSFEST!! The sun was shining, the crowd was huge!! Everybody rockin' out to the 7 bands that played, Astradust, Flatliners, Harry Coffey Band, 4 Old Farts, The Rakkiteers, Heres Jonny and us. Even when the football was on the crowd didn't dwindle!! Just gotta say thanx to Linzi for organising this event!!! I'm not sure how much money was raised yet, but keep you informed

26th June:
Yesterday we played one of our regular haunts, Bellhouse Road WMC in Shiregreen. This was Mark's debut... and what a debut it was!!! first of all we had our friends 'The Rakkiteers' open up the show for us. We would like to thank The Rakkiteers for this!!
After t'bingo it was our turn to rock!! The crowd was really appreciative!! You wouldn't have known that it was Mark's first gig with us!! It was like he has played with us for years!! Well done Mark!!

Next gig is Travsfest in South Kirkby... Be there!!!

22nd June:
TopGun would like to welcome our new guitarist Mark Birdsall. (right) of Blackout. Mark is a great player and will add a new dimension to the band. His debut gig will be at The Bellhouse Road WMC this friday. We will also have our very own 'support' band... The Rakkiteers!!! So, if you want to see 2 quality bands in one place, get yersens down to the Bellhouse this friday.. The more the merrier!!!!

20th June:
Last night's gig was @ S.N.A.F.U in Rotherham. This, again is one of our favourite venues, playing some decent rock tunes inbetween sets!!! First of all, a BIG thank you to Snoopy for letting us gig there (there is a waiting list of bands wanting to play there) This gig was Richard's last, as he was leaving, due to work commitements.. Anyway, we wish him good luck with any future projects.
A big announcement will be revealed soon!!!

7th June:
We've only had one gig this weekend and that was @ Hodthorpe WMC in Worksop. This is a cracking gig, yet it seem a little thin on the ground with the crowd, but that didn't stop us from ROCKIN'

Yesterday Paul, Rich and myself (Angie) helped out at a charity concert in aid of Prince of Wales Hospice. The event was called 'RockStock' and it was held a Upton Rugby Club. TopGun provided the sound for the day!!!
Although it did rain, the event carried on! 7 Bands gave up their time to perform in this event:
Flatliners, Broken Angel, Monkey Dust, Shake That, Heavy Load, No Mercy For Percy, and Blitz. The highlight of the day (for me) was 'Shake That' It was a 'boyband' made up from the singers of monkey Dust, No Mercy For Percy, Heavy Load, Flatliners and Topgun. They all sang and song each with the rest of the group backing them. The best song was 'Relight My Fire' as Big Sexy Dave got dressed up as Lulu!!! Make up, skirt and everything!!!

31st May:
Sad news..... due to the pressure of work commitments,Rich has decided to leave TOPGUN ! All of us obviously wish him all the best for whatever he decides to do in the future. 30th May:
This weekend has got to be one of the best we've had so far!!!! First of all on friday we played The Alverley in Balby. This was the 3rd time we've played there and I've gotta say that it was probably the best gig we've had!! It was absolutley PACKED!!! A BIG thankyou for the food at the end of the night mmmmmmm!!

Saturday's gig saw us returning to the Cross Keys in Morley. Last time we played there it was a bit on the quiet side, not many in. But this weekend was completely different!! Again, it was PACKED!!! People we're dancing on the tables!!! At the end of the gig we sampled the hot pot. It was VERY NICE!!! A MASSIVE thanx goes out to Lynn & Howard for the gig and also, to Mav for the comments on Rock of The North!!

24th May:
Wow!! What a weekened we've had!! 3 gigs in a row!! First gig was at The Boot & Shoe in Ackworth.. Waht a great gig this is!! It was absolutley PACKED!!! Hot & sweaty too....eww!! A BIG thankyou to Les & Maria for booking us.. We will be back soon!!

Saturday'y gig was a 40th birthday party in Mirfield. The weather was perfect as we set up our gear in the back garden. I was a little worried when everybody turned up, because these sorts of gig, only a few of the people usually like our kind of music. Even the older people of the crowd were rockin'! A big thanx to Dave from Broken Angel for recommending us for this gig!!!

Finally, the 3rd gig of the weekend was @ Thornhill Arms. It was a RoTN charity gig in aid of Cancer Research. It spanned over 3 days, with 17 bands playing! Again, the weather was perfect as we played in the beer garden!! I think we gained a few more fans!!!
A BIG thankyou to Steve & Angie (Thornhill) and Steve Lally (RoTN) for letting us play. It was ROCKING!!!

17th May:
We only had one gig this weekend. This was @ The Lion in Castleford. TopGun loves the Lion!! It was an excellent gig, with plenty in!! £90 in bucket, which, according to Julie, is fantastic for a sunday!!!
Thanx alot to H & Julie for letting us play there!!!

9th May:
Yesterday we returned to Acklam in Middlesboro. What a fantastic venue with a HUGE stage and rock loving audience.!!
It was great to see a couple dancing to UFO's 'Love to Love'.
It also gave us an opportunity to try out a new song for our set!! Which went down well!!
A BIG thankyou to 'Barry' for letting us play there... We will be back soon!!!

Our next gig is @ one of our favourite venues......... The Lion!!

This weekend we were back at one of our favourite venues, George V WMC in Castleford, then at Smithywood WMC on saturday.
Friday's gig was good. The venue was packed!! With many of our followers and new fans!! A big thanx to Phil & Dave from Showtec for sound desk duties... Our next gig back at the George will be 'GEORGEFEST' on the 25th July.... Be there!!!!

Saturday's gig @ Smithywood was also a good one! With many people coming to see us from The Broadfield pub. Again it was full, as I thought it would have thinned out after the bingo!!! Was great to see fans dancing and playing 'Air guitar' to Asia!!!

18th April:
After having a weekend off it was back to the grind.. Friday's gig was a new venue for us, The Early Bath in Castleford. A great venue despite lugging the gear upstairs!!! Unbeknown to us it was a 'private party' but it didn't stop the regular TopGun fans from storming in!!!

Saturday's gig was @ Bentley Westend Club in Doncaster, we haven't played this venue for many years!!! It was full!! Even after the bingo had finished!! We rocked the place!! We will be back there very soon!!

6th April:
Yesterday, Paul, Rich and myself helped out @ BARNSTOCK. A charity fundraiser all in aid of BARNSLEY HOSPICE, which was hosted at BARNSLEY TRADES & LABOUR CLUB.
Paul & Rich provided the P.A and lights for the gig. 4 Bands were playing: VOLUME ZERO, DAZE, THE RAKKITEERS & HERES JONNY. The venue was PACKED to the brim!! An absolutely great atmosphere!!!
£2600.99 was raised, so welldone to all those who were involved, especially BRIAN FEATHERSTONE, without him this event wouldn't have happened.

4th April:
Friday saw us return to the Mallard in Doncaster. This venue is great!! One of our favourite venues. Great audience. There was quite a few in!! With many getting up to dance to 'Don't Stop Believing'

Saturday's gig was @ The Frog & Nightgown in Worksop. It has been a few years since we last played there. Its a great 'Rock' venue!! Must say a BIG 'THANK YOU' to the Mallard crew, who really go out of their way to come and see us. We really appreciate your support!!

30th March:

14th March:
We made our debut on friday at The Cross Keys in Morley.What a great venue! Howard & Lynne made us feel VERY welcome... Thanx for the teas at the end of the night!!! We had a few sound issues but that didn't deter the crowd. Those that were there really enjoyed it!! Old Git Mav and his wife Bev were busy taking photos of us, whilst playing.
It was great to see a few musos in the crowd too, Twist of Fate and Phoenix Rising. Thanx for your support! A BIG thanx to Phil of Showtec for helping us out again and to everybody to turned up at the gig.

Saturday's gig saw us returning to Mill Lane WMC. Another great venue with a large stage. It was a great turn out!! With people flocking to the dancefloor to 'Lido Shuffle' You could actually hear them singing the chorus!!

7th March:
Last night we played at Garfield's Sportz Bar in Upton. This was a fantastic gig and a packed one too!! Alot of people came to see us!!! as the previous gig had to be cancelled due to illness.
Alot of our regular fans came to see us... Thanx to you!!
We put a new song into our set... Heat of The Moment by Asia, it went down well!!
Our next gigs are @ The Cross Keys and Mill lane WMC. We've never played at the Cross Keys before, so we're all looking forward to it!!

27th February:
What a gig!!! Last night's gig @ The Boot & Shoe was probably the BEST gig we've done!! The atmosphere was ELECTRIC!!! Absolutely PACKED to the rafters!!! Thanx alot to all of the followers who came out last night and to Les for booking us, and to Phil from ShowTec for sound desk duties!!!!

This weekend has been VERY busy for us, as we have had 3 gigs!!
The first gig was a return to The Alverley Inn in Doncaster. What a great little gig!! There were more people in than last time. The barman told us that they were inundated with calls asking if we were playing there again!!! A big thankyou to the landlord for letting us play there... and especially for the food afterwards.... yum yum!! And also to Wormy, from MonkeyDust, who got up to sing 'Wishing Well/Don't Believe A Word'
Saturday's gig was at Birdwell Club in Barnsley. This was a short notice cancellation gig. The crowd wasn't too big, but they were very appreciative!
And finally, to sunday's gig @ The Waterloo Bowling Club in Huddersfield. Great little venue, but the only drawback is the DB meter.... which we tripped!! The venue was full and the crowd loved it!! A BIG thankyou goes to Phil from Showtec for helping out on sound duties! And to Ronnie for booking us!! I think we gained some more fans there!

17th January:
After having 3 weeks off, our first gig back was at the SNAFU in Rotherham. Its been a while since we last played there! It was a great gig, absolutely packed!! A BIG thanx to Carl Wragg from Red Mosquito, who got up with us for 'Sweet Child O' Mine'... you did great!! Also thanx to 'Snoopy' for letting us play and to everybody who turned up!!

15th January:

27th December:
What a finish to 2009!! Yesterday's gig was @ The Bellhouse Road WMC, Sheffield. This is one of our favourite venues, having played it a few times now. It was probably the fullest I've even seen.. There wasn't an empty seat!!! Gotta say a BIG thankyou to all of you that turned up yesterday and to Eddie, who booked us there... Thanx mate!!

Our next gig is @ The SNAFU in rotherham on 16th Jan.. Hope to see you all there!!

20th December:
This weekend's gigs were @ Chester's in Chesterfield on friday and Castlefields in Castleford on Saturday.
Abit on the quiet side for Chester's, but the weather didn't help!! Very icy!!! Thanx to all that turned up on that cold and icy night, and thanx to Jeff for the cups of tea!!
Castlefields was alot fuller than the previous night, with many of our regulars coming to see us, Steve & Shirley, Tony of Cas, The Lady Bastards etc etc.. Even some new fans, who were VERY impressed with our version of 'Don't Stop Believing' Thanx guys.. Hope to see you again at another gig soon!

7th December:
Friday's gig saw us return to the Broadfield in Sheffield. This is a great venue, with people who love their rock music! It was absolutely packed!! The bucket was probably a record too!!

Saturday's gig was at Hodthorpe WMC in Worksop. Again, a great little venue. Was a little on the quiet side but the people who were in there loved it!!!

29th November:
This weekend's been very good!!! First of all we returned back to The Albion, in Hemmingfield, Barnsley on friday. This is probably one of the smallest playing areas we play!! But we managed to all squeeze in!!

Saturday's gig was @ Mill Lane WMC in South Kirkby. This was a new venue for us. Large room with a large stage.. Only down side having to carry gear upstairs!!! I've got to admit I was a little worried when we finished soundchecking for the number of people in the audience, but it soon filled up!!! to be precise it was full. With all the audience staying till the very end!! Great gig!!!

22nd November:
We've had two STORMING gigs this weekend. First gig was on friday @ The Mallard in Cusworth, Doncaster. This, I gotta say, is a GREAT gig for us.... Its one of our favourite venues! It was absolutely packed!! We went down a storm!! Some of the regular fans were in... Thanx alot guys! You know who you are!

Then on saturday we had a biker rally. It was the 'Pheasant Plucker' rally, @ Lumb Farm in Marehay. We've done this gig for 3 years now and everytime we've done it we've always gone down great!! Thanx alot to Amanda for getting us this!!!

15th November:
It certainly has been a VERY busy week for us!! First of all we were a The Victoria Club in Chesterfield on wednesday, then Fryston Miners Welfare on friday, followed by Smithywood WMC yesterday.
We haven't played Fryston Miners Welfare for a few years, in fact we were a totally different band then, playing more pop-orientated songs,so it was great to go back there with this line up. It was a large stage, so there were plenty of room for us!! A few familiar faces in the crowd, Steve & Shirley, Tony of Cas and Chris, The Lady B*stards plus more..... Thanx for your support!!
Yesterday's gig @ Smithywood WMC was also a venue we have played. A great stage and plenty of people in!! Had to wait through an hour of bingo tho!!!

Next week we venture back to the Mallard in Cusworth on friday, and a biker rally 'Pheasant Plucker'.on saturday.............
Should be a good weekend!!!

12th November:
Last night's gig was @ the Victoria Club in Chesterfield. Its been a while since we last played there. It was a good gig, could have been a bit fuller, but it was a mid week gig.

Our next gig is a Ferry Fryston Miners Welfare.... Be there!!

28th October:
On friday 30th October @ The Lion, Castleford, Paul will be doing the sound production for 'Daze' a young, talented Band. You must check out these young guys, they're FANTASTIC!!!

19th October:
Friday night at The Bellhouse Club was a good one. It is one of our favourite venues. There was plenty in! Cheers to the Mallard crew, Steve & Sue, Cheryl & Stuart and all of our regular fans for coming to the gig (much appreciated!!)

After a night off we had a short notice cancellation gig @ The Boot & Shoe in Ackworth. It was pretty full!! With many familar faces in the crowd (you know who you are!) It was a fantastic night and we played a couple of new songs in the set. Thanx Les for letting us play there and we look forward to coming back in February.
We're off for a couple of weeks, but our next gig will be @ The Fryston Miners Wefare..... See you there!!

13th October:
Acklam's gig was a good one! A huge stage, bigger enough for us all!! The gig was good with the crowd loving their 'Journey' tunes. The dancefloor was heaving when we played 'Don't Stop Believing' Thanx to Barry for booking us there. We hope to get another gig there in the future.
Roll onto friday when we play one of our regular haunts, Bellhouse Road WMC.

10th October:
Last night we played Ye Olde Highwayman in Pontefract (Thanx to Mark from Sumbdy's Dad for getting us that gig). What a great gig that was! The place was packed to the rafters and we got £110 in the bucket!!
Tonight we are @ Acklam Steelies in Middlesboro, first time for us, so we are all looking forward to it!!

21st Sept:
Well, this weekend has been an interesting one!!
First of all, on friday we played Alverley Inn, Doncaster. We've never played this venue before. A very nice venue with a chinese restaurant next door (cool) We went down a storm, in fact the landlord liked us so much that we got springrolls and prawn toast when we finished!!!
Must say a big thank you to the Mallard crew for coming to the gig.... You're real stars!!

Saturday saw us back at The Star in Cudworth. This is an excellent gig, the place was full. All up for it!! Again, the Mallard crew were there supporting us (Thanx guys!) Half way through our second set a fight broke out.. we had to stop playing. Shame really, that people have spoil things. After the fight dispersed we carried on to finish our set.

This week we have a private party booked on friday and saturday we are at the Klondyke in Royston, should be a good weekend!

1st Sept:
This weekend has been quite a busy weekend for us!
First gig, was at The Brewery Tap in Idle, Bradford. This is a great little venue (low roof). This was a great gig, it was absolutely packed! Probably the most we've had in that venue.

Saturdays gig was @ The Victoria Hotel in Allerton Bywater. We've played here a few times now, nice cosy little venue. Before we played, some of our new friends, Steve & Shirley arrived early for us to go on their narrow boat! Gotta to say a big thankyou to them for firstly, letting us go on their boat and providing us with some food! Thanx alot guys!!

And finally, Bankholiday monday was BARNSTOCK, at The Polish Club, Barnsley. This event was organised by Brian Featherstone, who is a BIG fan and friend of the band! A well organised event in aid of Barnsley Hospice. Bands that played were: Metal Works, The Rakkiteers, The Flyz, Heres Jonny and us. The venue was PACKED!! Probably the most thats EVER been at The Polish Club!! The huge crowd stayed for each and every band, which was cool. A BIG thankyou to Brian, for letting us play there, Phil Munt from Showtec for helping us out with the sound and to each an everyone who helped out on that day to make things happen!

Just had a text off Brian this morning to say that £3080.74 was raised yesterday... welldone to everybody!!

16th Aug:
This weekends gig were at The Albion, in Hemmingfield and Garfield Sportz Bar in Upton.
Both of these venues were new to us. The Albion was a tight squeeze but we managed to fit in!! It was a good night... very HOT! We've been booked back there in November (see Gig Guide)
Yesterday we were at Garfield Sportz Bar in Upton. This is a nice venue with a decent sized stage! Even has its own burger bar outside!! It was a great gig!! Very full! Hopefully we'll be back there.

12th Aug:
This weekend we played @ The Ye Olde Highwayman in Pontefract, to help celebrate Tony of Cas's 60th birthday. As some of you know, Tony is one of our biggest fans!
This gig was a double headliner, sharing with The Rakkiteers. Just gotta say a BIG thankyou to The Rakkiteers for letting us play, as it was originally their gig! And a BIG thankyou to the landlord and lady for letting this happen. The evening was packed, full of followers and musos, all helping with the celebrations.

30th July:
Just before our holiday break we will be playing @ The Boardwalk in Sheffield this evening. This is a charirty gig for Sheffield Children's Hospital. There are 3 bands playing (including us) and a 'X-Factor style' competition, which Damian and myself are the backing band. All tickets are SOLD!!
Should be a good gig!

19th July:
This weekend we played @ Westminster Recreational Club in Doncaster. It was a great gig with plenty in. Thanx to all who turned up on that rainy, dull day! Special thanx go to the Mallard crowd, you know who you are!!!

13th July:
Wow, what a weekend we've had!!
First of all we played Colley WMC in Sheffield on saturday. It was quite a few years since we've played that venue. There was even a couple who remembered from years ago, who came out especially to see us!! Cheers guys... Hope you enjoyed it!
It was quite a large crowd, who really enjoyed it! All wanting more!!

Then, sunday was an outdoor rock festival @ George V WMC in Glasshoughton, Castleford. All in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance (great cause). We provided the p.a, drums and bass backline.

It was £5 on the gate, which I thought was quite cheap to see the quality bands who played. First band was Sumdy's Dad, playing a mixture of upto date tunes, followed by Snatch, playing a mixture of rock, who was then followed by Versonic, again, playing a mixture of upto date rock. A young band called Dazed then followed.... What a band these youngsters were! Suddened I felt rather old!! I was talking to the Adam and Lewis from Dazed at the end of the night. They said they've only been playing a year!! These guys were great.. check them out!
After some confusion a acoustic duo, who played Bruce Springsteen followed Dazed. After a quite setup Broken Angel blasted through their set (after a long powercut!!) for classic rock and modern rock. Then, finally, after running slightly behing time, it was our time to play.Thankfully, no powercut!! Having to cut our set short (due to neighbourhood complaints) we ROCKED!!

A BIG.... and we mean BIG thankyou to, Colin (club sec) for letting us play, Damian Twigg for taking photographs, Phil Munt from Showtec for helping us out with the sound, Daz, Steve & Shirley, Adam & Lewis (Dazed) and Daz (even though it was your birthday) for helping us pack up all our gear... Again, a massive thanx to you guys!!
I will update (hopefully) on how much money was raised.

Our next gig is @ Westminster Recreational Club in Doncaster. Hope you all can make it!!!

30th June:
Just an update on how much money was raised @ Travsfest for The Prince of Wales Hospice.........£3685.85!

29th June:
Last weekend's gigs started at the Polish Club in Barnsley. This was our first 'proper' gig at this venue. It wasn't 'packed' but the audience who were there loved it!
After a night off our next gig was Travsfest @ The Travellers in South Kirkby. A very long day indeed, as we provided the PA for all the bands. The bands that played were: 4 Old Farts, Angel of Sin, Sumdy's Dad, The Rakkiteers, Go Kommando, Scooby and Shameless.
The day was an overall success! Absolutely packed it was. At one point they were stopping people from coming in, as there were already 500 people there!! MEGA!!

We have a weekend off but our next gigs are @ The Colley WMC in Sheffield and George V WMC, the latter gig being an outdoor event, all in aid of the Air Ambulance.

20th June:
We only had one gig this week, which was @ The Star in Cudworth. First time we've ever played there. It was a nice pub with a decent sized playing area. We went down very good and he wants to book us there again!!

Next week we have 3 gigs. The first being @ Woodseats WMC on wednesday, Polish Club on friday and Travsfest on the sunday. We're on at 3.45pm. Hope you can make it!

13th June:
Last night's gig @ The Mallard, Cusworth was MEGA! It was packed!! We went down a storm! Thanx to the usual followers and the new fans for the lovely comments after the gig, we really appreciate it!
Tonight we're at The Greyhound in Worksop.

7th June:
Friday we played The Lion in Castleford. This venue is one of our favourites. Must say a BIG thankyou to H & Julie who let us play there... Much appreciated!
The gig was fantastic! As usual it was jam packed! We decided to change the set around for this gig, which went down really well! We didn't get off stage til 12.30ish!! They wouldn't let us go!!!!
I would also like to thank the people who turned out on that rainy day, especially to those who travelled along way just to see us. Makes us feel really special!! I think we gained some new fans too!

After a day off, tonight, we are at the Bellhouse Club in Shiregreen. Another one of our favourite venues.
We would absolutely love you all to come down to see us.

11th May:
Two very exciting gigs we've had this weekend. First gig was on friday @ The Broadfield in Sheffield. We've played this venue a few times now and its always have been a good turn out. That night we only played about 1 hour 15 due to the sheff united match that was on!! But after that we were on! As we played the last song the crowd went ballistic!! Almost deaffening!! We asked to play one more song the landlady wouldn't let us due to time restrictions... the crowd started booing, but not to us!!!

Sunday's gig was an important gig for us. Firstly it was a charity gig for Cancer Research that was organised by Rock of The North and The Lion in Castleford. 4 bands played that day, The Rakkiteers, Monkey Dust, Riff Raff and us. All bands played excellent!! And the crowd were very appreciative!!
The next comment was taken from Rock of The North:

'This band come to Castleford, but it's like an Royal Albert Hall performance every time they play a Lionfest. Tonight's performance was what legends are made from. The band were simply fantastic. The repertoire is wide ranging, Bowie to Pink Floyd, and Mott the Hoople to UFO. Their UFO wasn't a common or garden Doctor Doctor, oh no not this band. ....this band played a truly superb Love to Love. I was mouthing the words and marvelling at how well it was being performed, fabulous quality in a West Yorkshire pub! Towards the end of the set the band played Bat Out of Hell, then two great Bon Jovi songs, Bed of Roses being a total epic! Ok I've said it before and now I'm saying it again , TOP GUN...TOP BAND !'

4th May:
Two gigs this weekend were saturday at Ward Green WMC and sunday at Bellhouse Road WMC. Friday's gig was a debut for us @ Ward Green WMC. Just happened to be a birthday party too for a lady named Jesse who was 86!! I'm sure she enjoyed the gig!! We've been asked to play New Years Eve there!!
Saturday's gig was a return to Bellhouse Road WMC. This is one of our favourite venues, nice big stage with a full audience!! Rock on!!

Our next gigs are @ The Broadfield in Sheffield on friday, then The Lion in Castleford for Rock of The North Against Cancer on sunday... Should be a great weekend!!

13th April:
What a busy weekend we've had!! First of all friday's gig was a West Street Live in Sheffield. Its been a while since we were last there. The place was packed from start to finish! We did 3 sets (2x30 mins then 1 hour) Nobody left the building!!

Saturday's gig saw us @ The East Leeds Lion Biker Rally in Eccup. A well organised event!! There were some top class bands on such as Twist of Fate, Girl Kills Boy and Chantel Macgregor. After a short awards interval, it was our time to play!! The marque was packed to the rafters!!
A BIG thankyou to Graham Hollings for letting us play @ this event, Phil Munt from Showtec for engineering our sound and to Joe Lally from Rock Of The North for creating an excellent light show!!
We all appreciate it!!

14th March:
Hi there!! Last night saw us @ SNAFU in Rotherham. One of the many venues we have played a few times! This was an excellent gig for us. We didn't have to bring much of our gear, just our backlines! Great Stuff! We didn't go on til 10.30 and it seemed a little thin on the ground at about 9.30ish, but as soon as we started playing the place filled up!! It was really full!! We didn't get off stage til about 1.30!!! Cheers to Snoopy who lets us play there.. You're a star!!

Tonight we're in Worksop @ The Greyhound. First time for us. Should be a good un. Thanx to Kay for getting us this gig.

28th FEBRUARY:
We've had two gigs this week, with the first one being @ The Factory in Long Eaton. We've played this venue a few times now and every time has always been good, although we didn't start playing til 11.30!!
This venue is great, it has an excellent stage setting with a drum riser and lights n' smoke, so its perfect for any band!
Friday's gig was at The Lion in Castleford. Gotta say that we all enjoy playing at the Lion!! It was absolutely PACKED!! We decided to try something different that night by playing one, huge set.... It was 2 1/2 hours!!!!!
Thankyou to everybody who came to that gig and a huge thankyou to Julie & H for letting us play there... WE LUV THE LION!!

24th FEBRUARY:
I can confirm that we will be playing RotN Against Cancer Charity Festival @ The Lion, Castleford on sunday May 10th. Other bands playing are The Rakkiteers, Monkey Dust, and Riff Raff. All proceeds will go to Cancer Research

1st FEBRUARY:
Top gig last night @ The Travellers in South Kirkby. A nice 'cosy' venue that gets packed very quickly! Thanx to the Mallard crue that travelled all the way from Cusworth to watch us.. much appreciated!
We're off for a couple of weeks but we'll be back 'RAWKIN' in Feb @ The Factory in Long Eaton
Can't wait!!

31st JANUARY:
Eyup! Just want to say what a fantastic gig last night we had @ The Boot & Shoe in Ackworth. The place was packed!! The whole place was rockin' and even Les was dancing!! Rock on!! There were a few familiar faces there i.e Arfur of Elmsall and Tony of Cas, thanx you guys for stopping the whole night!! Arfur did say to me that there were a couple of girls who were really appreciative of us playing 'different' music to the norm eg Judas Priest, Lizzy etc.
Overall the gig was MEGA!! And we're glad that Les has booked us back there in March (on sunday 15th)

Next gig is tonight @ The Travellers in South Kirkby!

24th JANUARY:
WOW!!! What a gig!! Last night we played to a full audience @ The Bellhouse Club in Sheffield! Just want to say THANX to all of the people to came to watch us! And we really appreciate all the nice comments we got @ the gig!! Eddie (concert sec) praised us for the different songs we played, stating it was nice to hear something different to the usual stuff that is played at the club. Thanx for that Eddie! Can't wait to go back!!
Our next gig is @ The Boot & Shoe in Ackworth., another great venue for us.

11th JANUARY:
Hi everybody!!! Just want to say a BIG thankyou to everyone for coming to our 'first' comeback gig @ The Broadfield in Sheffield on friday. Especially you guys who travelled a great distance just to be there!!

"Hi Steve, not really into commenting on own gigs but since you ask... We were all a little nervous at first. Really funny, about 6 songs in and I asked Angie if she was ok to which she replied, "No I am still bricking it!" Also funny watching people walking in and not going to bar until they had checked all 5 of us were actually there. Lol! First half in fairness we were a bit nervy- All the Way to Memphis, Always and Ziggy went down really well as did Music. 2nd half was the best gig I have ever played! Thought we played Highway Star and Dudes spot on. I have never been on the receiving end of cheering and clapping that loud- ever. A few new ones we didn't even get round to playing as licensing is really strict at The Broadfield. Paul brought his new PA-- I am not into PA's but this thing is scarily good. Big thanks for the people who turned up from other venues that we love playing- the crew from Cas, Doncaster, Sheffield, Barnsley and Worksop. All Rakkiteers with their partners. Everyone thanks for coming. Really appreciated!"

Just thought I'd update you all on whats happening in the TopGun camp. As some of you already know we have reverted back to the old line-up with both Rich and Lee on guitar and keyboards.
Our first gig back with this line up will be @ The Broadfield on the 9th of January!

Hello and welcome back!!

Just a quick word to let all of our fans know what is happening in the TOPGUN camp. As from the 17th of this month TOPGUN will be back as a peforming unit. There has been a line up change which has resulted in a more 'harder, rockier' feel to the sound with alot of new material. None of us guys are gunna be self opinionated in what we are doing. But all we can say is that we've loved every minute of putting it together for you all and can't wait to perform!
